Warren Curry’s 2012 Corfu Discovery Tour 2012 has come to successful conclusion with tour members once again discovering new found fascination of painting or further developing already established artistic knowledge and flair.

By the conclusion of the tour all artists were producing works which showcased artistic understanding, thanks to the diligence and hands on coaching which Warren provided each individual.

Regular workshops, one on one tutoring and group critique sessions provided the artists with an abundance of opportunities to share different ideas and opinions , discuss technique and admire the artwork of fellow enthusiasts, either on location in charming Greek villages, on idyllic beaches with breathtaking cliff faces and seascapes, or in the fine surroundings of the Levant Hotel.  

The Levant is itself the perfect environment for artists  as the hotel possesses an inherent atmosphere of artistic flair. Guests enjoy an eclectic array of art works displayed within the exquisite reception area and dining room. Artists immediately relax and move into artistic mode, any worries diminish as guests soak up the rarified atmosphere and combine a common thread of love of art with the joy of new friendships with like-minded travellers. The hotel also entertains visitors from all over Europe, is very stylish and abounds with opportunities to meet fascinating people.  

As in previous years a proportion of our Tour members opted to pursue other activities on the idyllic island of Corfu whilst their artist friends were busy creating.  One adventurous Tour member this year paraglided over the cliff tops of Pelekas.  Other Tour members marvelled over the breathtaking scenery whilst exploring the plethora of walking tracks and other journeys on foot which took them through swathes of wild flowers, the fascination of evening fire flies , and discovering enchanting Corfu Island villages where local villagers made weary travellers welcome.

One might feel like the world has stood still and all is right when a simple goat herder is seen tending his flock in the distance…  

Warren Curry’s Discovery Tour is not only for artists discovering themselves and their potential at the easel, but a journey of sensory discovery to a paradise, for all who make the choice to join Warren on his tour.
